MEMBERSHIP SCHEME

The FRF(UK) membership scheme will provide members with valuable benefits and engage the fitness racing community in the initiative to create a sustainable sport for everyone.

To gain recognition as a sport the FRF(UK) will need a minimum of 1,650 members. This aggregate total includes a minimum membership requirement for each of the home nations: England (750), Scotland (500), Wales (250) and Northern Ireland (150).

Our aim is to reach these membership scheme targets in 2019. This will be challenging but it is achievable with your support.

18,160 athletes from the UK entered the CrossFit Games Open last year. If this number joined the FRF(UK) over £800,000 would be raised. Just imagine what we could achieve with that kind of funding!

The success or failure of this entire initiative to achieve recognition for our sport, and to potentially get it into the Olympics, depends on the support of the community expressed through membership of the FRF(UK). If you support our purposes please become a member.

CATEGORIES & PRICING

The membership scheme will be launched on 1 Jan 19 but if you enter the British Functional Fitness Championship before then you will automatically be enrolled as an ‘Athlete Member’ of the FRF(UK) when the membership scheme goes live.

On launch there will be two categories of membership: ‘Athlete’ and ‘Supporter’.

The ‘Athlete’ category is for people who compete or would like to compete.  It includes entry into the British Functional Fitness Championship and the benefits opposite. This category will be priced at £45 plus VAT.

The ‘Supporter’ category is for people who enjoy functional fitness training and/or support the goals of the FRF(UK) but are not interesting in competing. This category includes the benefits listed opposite and will be priced at £20 plus VAT.

Other membership categories, e.g. for coaches, will be added throughout 2019 as benefits like continuous professional development are put in place for them.
